"BE CREATIVE, EXPRESS YOURSELF, TELL A STORY"
In
2009, Michael is offering a program that fits into this summer's themes –
"Be Creative at Your Library" and "Express Yourself at Your
Library."
"Be
Creative, Express Yourself, Tell a Story" is a two and a half hour program
combining a workshop for children and a performance by the children (and
Michael).
Time
schedule (morning or afternoon):

WORKSHOP
The
participatory workshop focuses on the basics of telling a story.
We will cover
choosing a story, learning a story, the nervousness preceding the performance,
and the telling of a story to an audience. Children will be led through various
exercises or "challenges" that will help them prepare a story and
deliver it effectively.
OPEN
PUBLIC PERFORMANCE
The performance
that follows the workshop will be presented by children who
have
participated in the workshop, telling the stories they have just worked on.

and also perform stories and songs.
